sapphire2309: (heart)
Hello and welcome to this venting space disguised as a fanfic journal. If you are comfortable with my particular brand of weird (otherwise known as human) please drop me a message or a comment or another such communication, and I will further open up my life via the magical click of a gold access button that will then turn silver. Which makes no sense, according to the dominant narrative that values gold more than silver. But then again, that means I'm insinuating that my friendship is precious, which requires a greater degree of narcissism than I possess. I could ramble further, but I'd probably stop making sense soon.

If you're here for the fic, I'm sorry, fanfic broadcasts are very sporadic, you're more likely to find rambles about music and my latest obsessions than any actual fic. Sapphire writes fanfic, it is true, but the fanfic is rare and sometimes never posted, even when written.

Yes, I'm terrible at welcomes, how did you know?

Title: No Footsteps On The Ground
Characters (Pairings): Diana Berrigan (unrequited Diana/Sara)
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 169

Summary: Diana knows she really shouldn't be thinking about Sara.
Author's Note: For Day 1 of The Merry Month of Masturbation ([livejournal.com profile] mmom). Because why the hell not? :D I spent April focused on poetry with (Inter)National Poetry Writing Month in full swing. May's for you guys.
Title's from I'm With You by Avril Lavigne. (anyone who's read my depression related posts, don't freak out!! I'm okay. Just listening to this song for the story.)
In my head, this is part of the verse I set up in Get With The Program, (which I think I'm going to call the Fire'Verse) but waaaaay in the past. Because apparently I can't get that verse out of my brain now. This is allllll my own fault btw XD. I love this dark messed up shit. Though the Diana/Sara romance plot is probably the (only) ray of sunshine in this thing. Along with, you know, the eventual rescue. (Eventual. MWAHAHAHAHAHAHA.)

Diana knows she really shouldn't be thinking about Sara. )

...and I had such a blast filling in the "application" (that's what they call the memes to sound all official) that I decided to post it here too!

Warning: F-bombs. Warning #2 - I am a walking Hamilton advertisement.

If you want the code, it's here at the challenge post!

wheeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!! )

I mention the lateness of the hour just in case I make a big bad boo boo, as a possible defense.

The fact that I've been Hamilton trash for over a month is relevant.

Day 23 - A song that you want to play at your wedding

I don't plan on getting married, so I'm going to interpret this as a song that describes my romantic hopes and dreams.

one

Everything Has Changed by Taylor Swift, featuring Ed Sheeran.

I'm a Swiftie, OK? And I have serious feels for this song. And the video is completely adorable. And I love it!

I think what I like about the song is the simplicity. It's not complicated love, it's not overly romantic, it's not grand gestures, it's two people singing about getting to know each other. And I'd like that. I'd like it to be easy. I don't want difficult and painful and complicated, I want simple.

two

Somewhere Only We Know, as covered by Lily Allen. This is probably only here because it's a piano heavy song, but whatever.

This isn't quite a lovesong, but it's about the kind of relationship I want, someday. It's not explicit in the lyrics, but I hear about a relationship built on mutual faith, trust, all the good things, basically.

Oh simple thing, where have you gone? I'm getting tired and I need someone to rely on.

three

Tell Her You Love Her by Echosmith. All of it. I just... all of it. To me, it subtly explains how I'm very breakable and how I don't get over stuff easily and it's everything I want and need and whatever and it's just perfect. It helps that the lead singer has a really, really lovely voice.

This song also reminds me that one person can't prop up a relationship, can't do all the work. It has to be both of them. Which is odd, considering the lyrics, but whatever, brain vomit :P

ETA: Oops, accidentally linked to Lady Antebellum's Dancing Away With My Heart instead of the Echosmith song. I think it's fixed now :D
